Michael Lo Sordo Runway Show

More than just a debut of his Resort 2024 Collection, Michael Lo Sordo’s showcase at Australian Fashion Week also marked the designer’s 10-year anniversary. Inspired by sultry Parisienne nightclubs, the show featured Lo Sordo’s signature gowns in gorgeous velvet, leather and silk — an ode to the luxurious textures synonymous with night scenes in Paris. To complement these opulent looks, statement shoes with sculptural heels and metallic silver finishes from the latest CHARLES & KEITH collection amp up the glamour factor.

Gail Sorronda Runway Show

Cult Brisbane label Gail Sorronda also showcased a gothic-inspired collection titled ‘In Dreams’ at Australian Fashion Week. Featuring unforgettable looks with an angelic and ethereal aesthetic, the fashion house’s unique monochrome designs celebrated the duality of darkness and light with sheer fabrics, flowy silhouettes and iridescent sheens. Bold and structured accessories with a hint of edge, like the Ivy top handle mini bag and Lucile satin thigh-high boots, fit seamlessly into the collection.

Style Inspiration

The likes of Mishti Rahman, Kika Lateef, Jamie Ngyuen, Sam Guggenheimer and Tara were some of our favourite fashion tastemakers who were spotted attending Australian Fashion Week runway shows. Incorporating some of the styles that were seen on the runway into their own visually-arresting ensembles — like the Michelle recycled polyester platform sandals — they showcased the versatility of CHARLES & KEITH’s effortlessly chic designs.
