Where is your favourite spot in Singapore?

Andrea: Favourite places to unwind and chill out will definitely be Dempsey Hill and the Botanic Gardens. It’s a nice break from the city!

Mae: Arab Street has always been a soft spot for me as I grew up enjoying the indie culture there. Many can also agree that Marina Bay is a Singapore hot spot! From the skyline of this beautiful city from the infinity pool to a night walk in the Avatar-like Gardens By The Bay.

What does the word ‘creativity’ mean to you and how do you overcome a creative roadblock?

Andrea: Being creative means thinking on your feet, and putting in effort into what you do. Inspiration can be found everywhere – but more often than not, I find them in or from my friends.

Mae: I think creative roadblocks are really complicated situations. I normally take an hour off whatever it is I'm doing, scroll through Instagram or watch a video on YouTube. During this time I would normally browse through either an inspiration or a mind-blank kind of post.

What’s next for you, or where’s your next travel destination?

Andrea: Visiting my mother who lives in Tasmania – I think I do need a break from work, and visiting her always helps me unwind. I just basically spend a week there being a couch potato and getting stuffed silly from her home-cooked meals.

Mae: For now I'm just going to continue what I'm doing with Surrender and hopefully see what exciting things come my way! Following a motto that I closely live by: always replace fear of the unknown with curiosity.
