29 SEPTEMBER 2010 – Charles & Keith pledges their support to the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) in their latest 'I Accept' campaign. The 'I Accept' campaign is both a fundraising and a public education program and aims to create awareness of the challenges people with disabilities face and encourage the general public to accept them as equal members of society at school, in the workplace and in the community.
For every belt or accessories sold in Charles & Keith stores in Singapore, SGD1 will be donated in the month of October. Apart from making a donation, a one-day excursion to the Singapore Flyer is organized by the head office to offer the beneficiaries of SPD a chance to discover the world's largest observation wheel.
Charles & Keith places great importance on being a socially responsible brand by contributing in numerous ways to the community, supporting programs and embarking on 3 main principles: humanitarian causes, human excellence and environmental initiatives. By supporting SPD as one of the non-profit organizations, Charles & Keith in part provides the opportunity to SPD to continue providing a host of programmes and services including equipping disabled people through therapy, IT and skills training while providing supported employment, assessment, consultation in assisted technology, education and social support to help people with disabilities to be self-reliant and independent.
Together, we say "I Accept.".
